Edit PDF: questions worth answering

Can I change text that is already in the PDF?
Not in place — that would require reconstructing the content stream and reflowing a page whose layout is fixed. Ream lets you cover and replace: draw a paper-coloured box, then type over it.
What fonts can I use?
The built-in standard PDF fonts (Helvetica, Times, Courier) plus any TTF or OTF you drop into the font slot. Embedded fonts render identically everywhere.
Will my edits survive a later Compress?
Yes, but they become part of the rendered image. Edit last if you want crisp editable text.
