PDF Forms: questions worth answering

What if my PDF has no fields?
Add them yourself. Place a text field, size it on the page, name it — the result is a genuinely fillable PDF any reader supports.
What does flattening do?
It bakes the values into the page and removes interactivity, so the form cannot be edited again. Useful before sending a final copy.
Are XFA forms supported?
Not fully. XFA is a deprecated Adobe format; Ream reads the AcroForm layer only and will tell you if a document is XFA-based.
